Ooana Mauser (a.k.a. Oowahna Chasing Bear) on August 12, 2014 at the age of 93 walked on. She was born January 19, 1921 in Wyoming, the wife of Anthony Louis Mauser, whom she was married to for 54 years and preceded her in death, and mother of Anna Maria Mauser, predeceased and Eric Christopher Mauser, wife Rebecca. She was grandmother of Nicole Mauser Brown, husband Matt and Eric Joseph Mauser. She used the years supporting A.I.M., and struggled to bring spiritual freedom to the native prisoners in the iron houses. She tried to educate the public to the truth of conditions throughout the world, traveling thousands of miles. She fought numerous battles to protect the earth that she loved. She enjoyed art, music and people. She was fond of saying, "I have friends in low places." She was recognized for her own art contribution. She leaves behind her blessings, gratitude and love to all. She had so very much pride in her family and loved them dearly. Visitation will be held Friday, August 15 from 4 pm - 8 pm in Stevens Mortuary, 5520 W. 10th St., Indpls. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 16 at 10 am, also at the mortuary.
