Condolences
Jeff was always helpful to me when I had to take things to the ESC. He was cheerful and funny too! He will be missed!
as an ips school social worker for the past 13 years i have known jeff for the same period of time...from the day i met him he was kind and funny and warm and generous of his time and knowledge...although he no longer worked directly with the social workers i looked forward to opportunities to talk with him whenever visiting the ed ctr...i was shocked to learn of his passing and i want his family to know how much he will be sorely missed by those of us lucky enough to work with him....please accept my deepest sympathies
My sincere condolences for your loss. Jeff will be missed at IPS. While I worked with him he was always pleasant to be around and had a good sense of humor. I'm sorry I'm unable to attend his service as I have a Dr. Appointment on the East side in between my job at IPS and my second job on the North side, which begins at 7:00. My thoughts and prayers are with your family during this period of grieving. Craig Smith
Jeff was always kind to me. I am one of the homebound teachers he worked with. We became friends. I used to love hearing about his Dollar Tree stories. He would tell me the wonderful things he would buy there. He will truly be missed. He had a great sense of humor. I am still in shock that this has happened. I know he is in Heaven and looking down on everyone who was close to him. May God be with those who truly cared about Jeff. I will miss you Jeff. Mary-Jo

I have considered Jeff a friend since working with him at the Ed Center about 8 years ago and we managed to keep in regular contact after I left. We often crossed paths shopping at Kroger and enjoyed hanging out when we could. He will be GREATLY missed by many people. No more pain, no more suffering-- peace at last.
Jeff, I am glad that you are at peace now. I will miss your quirky sense of humor and your big heart for the children of IPS. Thanks for all the crazy adventures of (Rapid) Rabid Rabbit! Your friend, Helen Deck
Some of the funniest e-mails I have ever received were sent to me by Jeff. There was a special bond between Jeff and the school social workers. We absolutely loved working with Jeff! His kindness and thoughtfulness were greatly appreciated. I will miss Jeff and will hold him in my memory. With deepest sympathy, Roberta
Jeff was not only my cousin but my friend. His gentle nature spoke volumes of his kind heart and love for anyone that he touched. He will always live in a special place in my heart. Always. Rest with the angels Jeff, until I see you again, somewhere over the rainbow. I love you
to Gayle Shaneff, Dear Gayle, Michelle and I are sorry to hear about Jeffrey and send our condolences to you. We both will not be able to attend Wed. viewing, am sorry to say, but we are certainly thinking about you and your family. I sure was glad to see you a few weeks ago and wish you God's peace during this time, Love Chris (and Michelle)
Jeff was a great friend! His sense of humor will greatly be missed. I have so many memories of him that I will cherish!! My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.
Jeff and I have worked together for 15 years. We sat side-by-side for the majority of those years. We had gotten to know each other pretty good and became good friends. I will have so many good memories of him. We made each other laugh a lot. I will truly miss Jeff so much and my prayers are with his family and friends.
I was so shocked when I read this in the Star this morning. I am so sorry and my prayers are with you. Carol
