Condolences
I am so sorry for your loss, I lost my Mom this year. I have found death to leave me with a feeling of helplessness. May I leave you this word of encouragement. It has helped me. The Bible says that God or J ehovah hates death; he views it as an enemy. (1 Corinthians 15: 26) He has "a yearning" to conquer that enemy, to undo death by means of the resurrection. He longs to bring back those who are in his memory and to see them live on earth again. -Job 14:14,15. My sincere condolences
Best wishes to you all in this first difficult Christmas since Brice's passing. I will always remember him as a guy who defied advancing age and declining health with an upbeat personality and infectious good cheer. He also deeply valued family connections, and generously shared the fruits of his research about the Young and Garriott family heritage. When he closed each letter with "family love," I know he meant it. And in that same spirit I pass the same along to you! - Diana Young Morrissey (Denzil's middle daughter)
To the family of C. Brice Garriott: Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you. I am the youngest of Denzil and Marlene Young's children, and recall my dad sharing many fond memories of his cousin, Brice. May your own fond memories provide comfort during this difficult time, and may our loving God hold Brice in the palm of His hand, safe and secure from all earthly pain, suffering and sorrow. Fondly, Rosalyn and Karl Hug Omaha, Nebraska
Dear Gary, Christa and Wayne, Grant, Bryce, and Jessica, Please accept my condolences as you say goodbye to your dad and grandfather. I knew Brice for only the last few years of his life, and mostly through letters and phone calls. I was fortunate to get to visit him in person this past May. He was happy to share the poems and drawings that he had created, and loved to reminisce about his adventures with the Navy and his childhood in Montana. These included memories of my long-departed grandfather (his uncle) and other family we had in common. Through the difficulties of old age, he maintained a happy disposition and that distinctive chuckle of his. He was a sensitive soul and I especially appreciated the reverence and sincerity in his poetry. He was proud of you, his family, and I know you will miss him dearly. I'll sign off as he always did - With family love, Mary Paula Young Rest in peace, Cousin Brice.
