I am so sorry for your loss, I lost my Mom this year. I have found death to leave me with a feeling of helplessness. May I leave you this word of encouragement. It has helped me. The Bible says that God hates death; he views it as an enemy. (1 Corinthians 15: 26) He has "a yearning" to conquer that enemy, to undo death by means of the resurrection. I was so sad to hear this. I loved Jack and have lots of good memories growing up with the Thompson family. Most definitely the skiing, Jack taught me how to ski. I spent a lot of time over the Thompson's as a kid and remember the band. I even took guitar lessons as a kid because of Jack's band. His sense of humor was the best and am sure will be missed terribly. My sympathies to all of Jack's family.

Jack was a great grandfather to all of us kids. He taught me what seems like everything I know. From cards, mechanical work, sports, and most of all to be a good person. He always made my day when I was around him and always was there when you needed help the most. Thanks for everything grandpa. You were always my hero and my role model. Love you grandpa jack!
