First Visitation
Condolences
Gene. The man who never failed to bring a smile to my face when I would walk into Cryotec after getting out of school for the day. While I was sitting there in the office chair spinning in circles, you would stop and genuinely ask me how my day was going. I would tell you all about it and what I learned and you were interested in the day of a 6th grader, and I will always remember that. Still, to this day, whenever I go up to Cryotec, I cannot help but pass by your impeccable brazing certification and marvel at its raw, golden, melted beauty. It cracks me up every single time. It never gets old. I guess this is goodbye for now, but with the amount of lives you have touched and been a part of, you will still remain a part of us and never be forgotten as we carry on. It was a pleasure to have known you Mr. Poland.
My deepest sympathies to Marypat, Carl, Brian, Cathy and Phillip. Gene Poland was very warm and understanding man. He loved his family, grandkids and friends. His zest for reading, and learning could lead to some pretty interesting opinions. I pray that he and Mary are now and forever together once again.

Dear Brian, Carl and the rest of the Poland/Chavis family. I'm sorry to hear of the passing of your Dad. Brings back many memories of spending time at you house when we were growing up. I still remember how excited I was to find out that we were "cousins" by marriage because your Dad was related to my Uncle. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Rick Robison and family
Beautiful family memories... thank you for sharing. Time for our parents to pass the baton to our generation. If only we can do half as good a job as they did! Love, Juanita (Marypat's friend/classmate)
Too many great memories to place here about "Geno" !! Had a lot of fun with you and your Mom and Dad. You pick the memory. Bowling, New Years, his singing, Boating and any of the other times we were all together. What a great guy that Sherry and I will miss immensely. Even though we didn't get to visit more than a few times over the last years we knew we were still fast friends. I don't think he would have had it any other way.
