Obituary of Charles Bruning
Charles ?Chuck? Bruning
79, of Indianapolis, went Home to be with the Lord December 4, 2011. He was born April 18, 1932 to the late Clarence and Mayme Bruning. A graduate of Washington High School and U.S. Air Force veteran, Chuck worked at Allison Transmission 35 years, retiring in 1985. He enjoyed sharing his musical talents and played the organ at Lakeview Manor Nursing Home for 20 years. His name is in the Bowling Hall of Fame for bowling a perfect game.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon Cooley Bruning; daughters, Linda (Dave) Fosnight, Sandra Bruning; step-son Clayton (Amy) Cooley; step-daughter, Andrea Bailey; sister, Pat Reynolds and six grandchildren. Sisters Margie Wilson and Wanda Johnston preceded him in death.
Visitation will be Friday, December 9, from 4-8 p.m. at his home church, Hope Baptist, 1055 North Girls School Rd, Indpls. A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted there at 2 p.m. on Saturday, December 10, with calling at 12:30.
