Obituary of Tracy Edward Vernon
Tracy Edward Vernon passed away May 14, 2018. He was born September 13, 1956 to Howard W.Vernon and Edna Mae Tracy in Walton, Indiana. Tracy earned a BA from U of H. He worked several yearsin the restaurant and food industry in Houston, managing several restaurants.
Tracy returned to college and earned his teaching degree. He taught elementary science and math in theKlenk School District. Mr. Vernon retired from teaching in 2015. Tracy took his part time job and createdfull time positions in the paint department and lumber department at Home Depot.
He loved learning about paint and the DIY network. Tracy Loved interacting finally with adults! Tracy coached Elite League Soccer in Houston following his boys love of the game. He then acquired his soccer ref designation. He loved it until his bones ached! Tracy refereed for 10-15 years. He was an incredible cook, very messy, and loved Rock n Roll. Lately he was learning to work with wood and made several things for the house.
Tracy is survived by his wife Laura Anne (Shriver) Dyer; sons, Trevor Young Vernon and Jared Vernon; step daughter, Lucianne (Andrew) Forgey; step son, Lincoln Dyer; granddaughters, Mia Gray Forgey andRyan Paige Forgey; mother in law, Helen Shriver; sister, Bev Herrin; and several distant half brothers andsisters. A Celebration of Life will be planned at a future date.
