Obituary of Daniel L. Curtiss
Daniel Curtiss was born in Indianapolis, Indiana , November 10, 1956. to Leone (Thornton) and Kenneth Curtiss. He passed away Friday October 18, 2019. He was the youngest of four children. He is succeeded by his sister Kathe, brother Bruce, and wife Catherine whom he married in November 11, 1983.
He worked in Transportation at Methodist Hospital for over 30 years. Because he moved patients all over the hospital, everyone knew and liked him. He was admired for his hard work, and diligence.
Music was Dan's passion. He listened to it from the time he woke up til he had to go to work. He listened while he brushed his teeth, while, mowing the lawn, and while doing the bills! His favorite artists ranged from John Prine, Leonard Cohen, to the Ramones.
His other passions were Formula 1 racing, and space exploration. He taped every race. When it came to space exploration, he made sure he watched the space station fly by in the night sky.
Kate and Dan traveled to every state on the Eastern Seaboard. Their marriage was such that they had date nights every other weekend . They never wavered in their love.
Dan and Bruce his brother got together every other weekend to eat chili, talk music, just hang out. Their brotherly love knew no bounds.
It was the simple loves in Dan's life that really created a passionate life.
