Obituary of Joseph Lamperski
Joseph (Joe) Lamperski, 90, died March 8, 2010. He was born December 8, 1919. He retired from Riverside Golf course as Greenskeeper after more than 30 years of service. Joe was an Army Veteran of WWII. He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church his entire life; and was a long time member of the Slovenian National Home. He is preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Nellie Lamperski, brother Stan, and niece Pauline. Joe is survived by his brother, Ed, four wonderful nieces and two nephews; six great nieces and four great nephews. He enjoyed riding his bike and rode his bike well into his 80's. Joe was a huge Cubs fan. He enjoyed the outdoors and had a vegetable garden and gave fresh tomatoes to many of his neighbors and friends. Joe was well connected with his neighborhood community.
Visitation will be held at Stevens Mortuary and Family Center, Thurs. March 11 from 4-7pm with a Rosary at 7pm. A Catholic Funeral Mass will be on Fri. March 12 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church at 10am . Donations made be made to Holy Trinity Catholic Church.
