Obituary of James T. White
James T. White, 81, of Indianapolis passed away on May 25, 2016. He was born in Barbourville, KY on November 24, 1934 to Clarence and Effie (Trent) White. James graduated from Amo High School in 1953. He worked for a few months at Link Belt. James built houses at Banner Realty and Portrait Homes. He worked at Michelle Blanc Inc. building cabinets. James also worked at Admiral Awards making trophy plaques and bases. He sold firewood to Cracker Barrel restaurants, speedway 500 mile race,Indianapolis raceway park and to home owners. James worked for SAI. He drove shuttle buses for Global Premier Parking and Air Serve. James enjoyed auto racing, traveling, small engine repair, and fire wood, riding go-carts and motorcycles. He was on the board at the Progress House. He also cut the grass at the Progress House. He attended the Sunday Morning Breakfast meeting regularly for 47 years. James has enjoyed his sobriety from 4/10/1968.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Billy Ray (Janice) White; sister, Faye White. James is survived by his children, Rebecca Lynn Orange and Bruce Kevin White; grandchildren, Valerie Marie White, Bethany Dawn, Eric James, Angela Renee and Dustin Richard Orange; great-grandchildren, Elijah Kevin Johnson, Bailey Mae and Brenna Lynn Orange; extended grandchildren, Alyssa Shrader, Thomas Ray Hoaglan, Kristen and Katelynn Mosiman; sisters Thelma (Steve) Stelzner, Betty (Dave) Winchester, Shirley (Terry) Lee, Linda (Ted) Vontress and Jane (Al) Puett; sister-in-law, Mary Jane White.
