Mark E. Gentry, 51, of Speedway, IN passed away on May 3, 2016. Mark was born on May 30, 1964 in Cincinnati, OH to Edwin E. and Gora Gentry. He was a loving and devoted father, grandfather, son, brother and uncle. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He is preceded is death by his father, Edwin E. Gentry and grandparents, Mary and Andy Miller. Mark had a very special interest in racing, mainly Indy Car and N.A.S.C.A.R. He loved all sports and was an avid fan, but racing was his favorite. Mark was a butcher by trade and his most recent employment was with Sam’s Club. Mark is survived by his fiancé, Tammy Benton; daughter, Ashlee Gentry; sons, Joshua Gentry and Brandon Gentry; mother, Gora Gentry; sisters Sherrie (Pat) Kinser and Lisa (Mike) Ledford; grandchildren, Hayden Beasley and Jaylee Gentry; nieces, Tiffany Kinser and Brittany Gaskins; nephew, Timothy Gaskins; aunts Mary (George) Daniel and Beverly (Harry) Jenkins. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM on Saturday, May 7, 2016 at Stevens Mortuary 5520 W. 10th St. Indianapolis, with a visitation from 11:00 AM until time of service. Interment will be in Danville South Cemetery.
