Obituary of Wanda Sue Nichols
Wanda Sue Nichols, 77, of Indianapolis, passed away January 2, 2016. Wanda was born on August 29, 1938 to Maurice and Harriet Mae (Fletcher) Buckles who both precede her in death.
Wanda was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family. Wanda dedicated her life to her church and loved her Lord. She was a member of Southwest Church of the Nazarene. She taught Sunday school, sang in the choir and very much involved in the missionary society at Westside Church of the Nazarene. She liked to listen to southern gospel music and loved to crochet. Wanda always had a song in her heart and always shared her love of life with others. Her survivors include her loving husband, Ronald Earl Nichols; children, Bradley (Lisa), Karen (Jeff) Whiteley, Stephen, and Angela (Bradley) Strange; brother, James (Ruby) Buckles and sister, Patricia (Victor) Jeffers; 17 grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren. Visitation will be held TODAY Wednesday, January 6, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Southwest Church of the Nazarene 4797 Tincher Rd. Indianapolis, IN 46221. A funeral service is also scheduled in the church on Thursday, January 7, 2016 at 11:00 AM with visitation from 10:00 a.m. until service time. Interment will be in West Ridge Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that memorial contributions be made to Southwest Church of the Nazarene - "Faith Promise Fund" 4797 Tincher Rd. Indianapolis, IN 46221.
