Pop. I lost my first best friend today. But while it hurts now, I know where you are, what you're doing, and who your with. Thank you for being the man to show me how a man should live and treat others. All I ever wanted to do was live up to your example and for you to be proud of me. I couldn't be more proud to call you dad. I look forward to seeing and talking with you forever when I am called to join you.

Pop....you will always be remembered as my teacher. You taught me what it means to be a man. A man's man. You taught me how to be a dad to my boys. You taught me that NOTHING is more important than family. You taught me how to love a woman. You taught me to be strong, even when I'm afraid. You taught me what it means to live a life of conviction and ethics. You taught me to face challenges head-on. Your lessons weren't always easy, and you taught me that I shouldn't expect life to be easy. Your laughter, your love and your courage was an inspiration to me. Your unwavering support gave me the confidence to build my own life. My heart aches today, but because you, I will be strong. I will cry many more tears because I miss you, but I will carry on. I promise with all that I'm made of, I will take care of mom. I'll try to lead my family in a way that will make you proud of me. Your spirit will live forever in me, and in my children and grandchildren.....and I will love and miss you until my dying day.
