Cledis Leon Griffith, 75, passed away November 23, 2015 at home while on hospice care from complication related to his end stage renal disease. He was born June 5, 1940 in Linton, IN to the late Cledis A. and Mildred Griffith. He graduated from George Washington High School and Indiana University. He served in the Marine Corps and was a retired Indiana State Trooper. After retiring, he worked for the Indiana Department of Environmental Management and the Indiana State Attorney General’s Office. He was preceded in death by his son, Josh Griffith. Leon is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Linda (Worrell) Griffith and sister, Marlene (Griffith) Cobb of Venice, FL. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 27 from 10 am – 12 pm with a funeral service at 12 pm in Stevens Mortuary, 5520 W. 10th St., Indpls.
