Joseph Wayne “Joe” Higdon, 54, of Indianapolis, IN was born November 12, 1960 in Franklin, IN to Charles L. and Sally L. (Vance) Higdon. Joes is survived by his wife of 30 years, Vernell; children Joey (Candace) Higdon of Indianapolis; Nicki Allison of Indianapolis; Jamie (Melissa) Thomas of Edmonton, KY; Charlie (Bonnie) Thomas of Greenwood, IN; eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He is also survived by a brother, James (Mary Pat) Higdon of Franklin, IN; sister, Becky (Mark) Myers of Greenwood, IN and several nieces and nephews. Joe was a 1979 graduate of Whiteland Community High School. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Francis Cancer Center 8111 S Emerson Ave, Indianapolis, IN 46237.
