Obituary of Frances Marie Fitzgerald
Frances Marie (Rosner) Fitzgerald, 93, of Schaumburg, IL, passed away on July 27, 2015. Frances was born on May 6, 1922 in Indianapolis, IN to the late John and Delia Rosner.
Frances was preceded in death by her husband, Maurice Fitzgerald (2004), to whom she was married for 54 years, and her brother, William Rosner (2007). Frances was a loving wife and mother who cared for and raised successfully two wonderful children. She worked for the Indianapolis Rubber Co. and the Acme Evans Grain Co. Frances was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Altar Society and the St. Michael Women’s Club. She also volunteered her time and services in the administration department at Cardinal Ritter high school. Frances lived long past the early-age death of her mother at age 53 – She lived to age 93! After the death of her husband, she decided to move near her daughter and son-in-law. She made a transition in living style to Friendship Village in Schaumburg, IL, where she established new friendships and stayed very involved in the activities offered there. Bingo was her favorite! This was a significant decision that she successfully made at age 82. She was a loving and devoted wife and mother. Frances was a devout Catholic, always humble and prayerful. Frances always shared her sunny disposition with all, and treated others as one would want to be treated.
Frances is survived by her son, Tom Fitzgerald of Las Vegas, NV, and her daughter, Anne (Jim) Placek of Bartlett, IL.
