Obituary of David Eddington
David James Eddington, 86, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 16, 2015. David was born in Springfield, IL on October 21, 1928 to the late David J. and Catherine Eddington. He was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Virginia M. Eddington and two grandchildren.
David retired from IBM and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, a past board member of All Saints School and Knights of Columbus. David enjoyed spending time with his loving family. He enjoyed reading, fishing, history, ice cream, playing cards, woodworking and providing support to many different charities.
David is survived by children, David J., Susan Becker, Mark, Peter, Therese Giapponi, Jane Gramse, Robert, John, Patrick, James, Steven and Molly Harrison; 33 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and many siblings, nieces and nephews. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and everyone he touched in life.
Visitation will be held in Stevens Mortuary, 5520 W. 10th. St. Indpls, 46224 on Monday, April 20, 2015 from 4 pm to 8 pm. A Mass of Christian burial will be held in St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1375 S. Mickley Ave., Indpls. Interment services to follow in Calvary Cemetery.
