Obituary of Mary Wyatt
Mary Elizabeth Wyatt, 91, of Indianapolis passed away peacefully March 8, 2015 surrounded by her loving family. She was born September 6, 1923 in Indianapolis, IN to Thomas and Inez Clossey, both preceding her in death.
She was a daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and friend to all. She was a walking piece of history. She grew up in the Great Depression, fell in love and married the love of her life. She raised 3 children and was an active member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She loved gardening, nature and watching the squirrels play in her yard. She lived a full life, complete with laughter, joy and sorrow. Although we will miss her physical presence in our lives, let's not grieve, but also celebrate her life as it was fully lived. Her spirit will continue to live in the hearts of those who loved her.
Mary was preceded in death by her loving husband of 44 years, Charles Wyatt; brothers, John, Lester, Bill, Tommy and Joe Clossey; sister, Caroline Gooding and daughters, Nancy Turpin and Linda Wyatt Bradley; great grandchild, Marie Guerra and grandson in law, Earl Hamm.
She is survived by her son, Rick (Pam) Wyatt; grandchildren, Michael (Melissa) Turpin, Christina (George) VanLinder, Michelle Hamm, Robert Guerra, Angela (Gary) Bay, Daniel (Angela) Wyatt, Dawn (Matt) Ray and Amanda Wyatt and great grandchildren, Brianne, Charles and Sarah Turpin, Sigourney, McKenzie, Justin and Austin Hamm, Brandon Demott, Gracie and Chloe Bay, Bridget, Mitchel and Makayla Ray, William Robert Guerra, Mariska VanLinder and Cody and Kylie Wyatt.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 13 from 10 am - 12 pm with a Mass of Christian Burial at 12 pm in St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1375 S. Mickley Ave., Indianapolis. Burial will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery, Plainfield, IN. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to: St. Joseph Catholic Church.
