Betty Jo Wineinger, 80, of Indianapolis passed away on February 26, 2015. She was born in Jasonville, IN on August 24, 1934 to Ward and Bertha (Clay) Mowery, both preceding her in death. Betty worked for Western Electric and provided in-home child daycare for over 25 years. Betty was a proud homemaker, loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother. In addition to raising five children, she created a loving home and provided guidance to over 20 foster children and additional children in need. Betty was a 25 year breast cancer fighter and 14 year ovarian cancer stage III C survivor. She is survived by her adoring husband of 59 years, Mr. Lloyd E. Wineinger; children, Carolyn Wineinger, Ed (Debra) Wineinger, Judy (Jeff) Lawson, Annee Williams and Jenny (Allen) Arthur; grandchildren, Isaac Wineinger, Bethany and Matt Lawson; nieces and nephews, Nona, Kathy, Becky, Beverly, Cindy, Chuck, Greg, Stanley, Allen, Robbie, Bo, Mark, Danny, Steve and Sam and many loved cousins. Carmel Dr., Carmel, IN 46032. Visitation services will be held on Monday March 2, 2015 from 4 pm to 8 pm in Stevens Mortuary, 5520 W. 10th Street Indianapolis, IN 46224. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, March 3 at 11 am, also in the mortuary.
