Obituary of Clyde Pruitt

Clyde "Skeets" Pruitt Jr., 87, of Indianapolis passed away February 17, 2015. He was born August 16, 1928 in Indianapolis, IN to Clyde Wesley and Helen (Miller) Pruitt. Clyde was a tool and die maker for 36 years for the Allison Division of GM. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1947 - 1952, earning the Navy Occupational Service Medal. He was a member of the Slovenian National Home, UAW Local 933, VFW, American Legion and Holy Trinity. Clyde enjoyed crossword and crypto quip puzzles, golfing, fishing, hunting and bowling and loved telling jokes. He was prededed in death by his two wives, Nancy Lee (Houge) Pruitt and Gilda Jean (Doll) Pruitt; his parents; brothers Donald and Richard Pruitt and step-son James Robert "Bob" Doll. He is survived by his sons, Ricky, James and Michael Pruitt; daughter Debra Rae (Richard) Franklin; step-children John Doll, Jerrie Winegard; grandchildren Courtney, Steven, Shane and Shawn; step-mother Christine Pruitt and his companion Martina Dawnorawitz.
