Madeline Owens, 79, of Indianapolis passed away January 8, 2015. She was born September 20, 1935 in Indianapolis, IN to Donald and Madeline Murphy. Madeline was a relator and a secretary at Holy Trinity Catholic Church and St. Christopher Catholic Church (Archdiocese of Indianapolis). She participated in the St. Christopher choir and enjoyed music, golf and reading. She is survived by her sons, Tom (Nicole), Michael (Kelly) and David (Robin) Owens; daughter, Diane Newlon; grandchildren, Jake McKeen, Nick Owens, Mikayla Owens, Derek Newlon, Katie Owens, David Owens, Michelle Owens, Tom Owens and Jack Owens; brothers, William (Rosie) Murphy and Donald (Kathleen) Murphy. Visitation will be held on Monday, January 12 from 3 pm - 7 pm with a rosary at 7 pm in Stevens Mortuary, 5520 W. 10th St., Indianapolis. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, January 13 at 10 am in St. Christopher Catholic Church, 5301 W. 16th St., Speedway. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
