Ronald J. "Nuppey" Deal, 78, of Indianapolis passed away December 23, 2014. He was born March 2, 1936 to Robert L. and Ludmilla R. (Zore) Deal, both preceding him in death. Ron attended Holy Trinity Catholic School, Cathedral High School and General Motors Institute. He retired from Allison Transmission, Division of General Motors in 1992 after 38 years of service. Ron was a parishioner of St. Christopher Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Christine M. Deal. Ron is survived by his loving wife, Shirley A. (Roth) Deal; children, Cynthia A. (Toni) Deal, Richard J. Deal, Kathleen M. Deal, Debra L. (Douglas) Essex and Beth A. (Michael) Barron; grandchildren, Adam D. Essex, Benjamin R. Essex, Samantha C. Essex, Riley J. Deal, Sarah C. Barron, Emily A. Barron and Caroline E. Barron; siblings, Robert V. Deal, Doris M. Gafner, Thomas L. Deal and Victoria S. Farmer. Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 28 from 3 pm - 8 pm with a rosary at 8 pm in Stevens Mortuary, 5520 W. 10th St., Indpls. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, December 29 at 10 am in St. Christopher Catholic Church, 5301 W. 16th St., Speedway, IN. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Fr. Bob Gilday officiating.
