I am so sorry about the loss of your son, husband and father...I knew Glenn in just passing as his father was my International Rep. I appreciate the Christmas party that he looked over for safety. If Glenn Goss Senior reads this would you please have him call me at 317-603-9194 I would like to establish a communications back with him ..again our sorrows ..but "Families are forever"
We just literally found out about Glen's passing after returning from vacation. We are so very sorry to hear this and our thoughts and prayers are with Wendy, their daughters, family and friends. May God bless and keep you all.
Dear Wendy and family, My car had broke down in Brownsburg and you ask (told) Glenn to take me home. He said Wendy and the girls were the bosses. He went along with whatever they said with a twinkle in his eyes..On the way home, he told me he had attended an I.D. Theft class, and his conclusion was to go to the bank and get all your money out, take it home and put it under your mattress; because I.D. Thiief was so dangerous. Glenn was a fuuny man, but most of all he was a good husband, father, grandfather, policeman, and friend. God Bless You. Love, Carol Lewis
I met Glenn when my children were in elementary school at Fishers in Speedway. His girls and my girls were friends. I got to know them from all the different times I picked my kids up from their house. Wendy and Glenn were terrific parents. As our kids friendship faded, so did ours but, I'd always wave or honk if I saw them in the yard when I drove by or saw them at a school game our kids were involved in. After our kids were out of school I would run into Glenn working at 'The Fieldhouse' during Pacer games, concerts and other events that I attended there with my family and/or friends. We would always say hi and share a smile, joke or handshake. He always said - Drive Carefully and I always did.
He worked hard to support his family, his neighborhood and his community at large. He had a very giving heart and shared his love willingly with the people he came in contact with. My heart bleeds for the people that were closest to him because I know how much they are going to miss him. For sure he'll be in heaven waiting to greet them with a smile, a kiss and wide open arms.
Love - Brenda S Chaplin-Chase, Lauren and Alisha
Mac was always such a character. At our last family reunion he showed up wearing a black t-shirt with bright lime green letters saying, "I have chemo brain, what's your excuse". I loved it and everbody got a laugh from it. It was his attitude towards this nasty cancer. He never doubted that he would win.
About a month later I was told I have ovarian cancer advanced. After a good cry I thought of that shirt and went on line to find one. Right away I got an email from Mac saying "It's you and me Aunt Nancy. We'll get through this together". This young man, more than 20 years younger than me, had already been fighting cancer for more than three years had the attitude that we would win. Mac's attitude helped me in my fight against this nasty cancer. By the grace of God I'm alive and by the grace of God Mac is at peace. He is still a winner as he took his place with Jesus.
Love you Mac!
Aunt Nancy
Dear Family, May God comfort your hearts as only He can. It was a pleasure knowing and working with Glen. Sincerely, Jeanette Larkins MCSD/IMPD
I was so lucky to have grown up with Glenn in my life. Maggie and I have known each other since elementary school. Jr. High and High School, I was lucky to be invited every year camping in Gulf Shores. Those were the best vacations I have ever had. I would always be my silly self, and he would always laugh and shake his head at me. He had one of the best laughs I've ever heard.
I always called him Glennifer because I would always get a Glenn like response until he was used to it. I am very lucky to have the Goss family in my life. They are so amazing and wonderful. I will never ever forget Glenn and the wonderful times we had. I would give anything for another loong car ride to Gulf Shores and get some of that shrimp! All my love back home with the Goss family. I love you!
I knew Wendy first; she was a student in my class and a Student Theatre member. She introduced me to Glenn. I was delighted when they married, and thrilled to be back in touch when I had both Alicia and Maggie in English. One of my best memories of Glenn was when he came to my rescue. Twice in my life I have locked the keys in my car; both times were in the same week, and both times Glenn caught the call to come to my aid. While it was great to see him, it was also more than a little embarrassing that he had to open my locked car twice in a week!
Glenn was just one of the best people I have ever known; I have followed all Wendy's posts on both Caring Bridge and Facebook, and just hate that cancer took this wonderful man from his family. God bless you and help you through, Wendy, Alicia, and Maggie.
I have known Glenn since I was in Jr. High. I went to school with his Daughters Alicia and Maggie. I remember doing nothing be laughing when I would be over there to the point my stomach and face would hurt. My best memories would have to been when I was a Senior in High School and I was invited to go with them on Spring Break to Florida. It was so much fun and in typical Glenn fashion I was teased all day everyday and I wouldn't have had it any other way. Those where some of the best moments of my high school years.
Move forward a few years and Glenn and I reunited in a way we both never imagined, I married into the family! I was lucky enough to meet his wonderful nephew and become a Goss myself. I am truly blessed and honored to be a part of this family and to have known such a wonderful man. Glenn is the reason my husband is th wonderful police officer he is today. He will always be in my heart and I know I will see him again someday.
Love you Uncle Mac!
I worked with Glenn on MCSD we were both wagon drivers in Court & Transportation and good friends. He was always there when you need him. we both loved working the INDY 500 during the month of May. Many Memories from the Speedway working with Glenn. Glenn was the Biggest Ohio State Fan I have ever seen! I always used to give him heck when it was Michigan vs Ohio State. He will be greatly missed and it ws an honor to be able call Glenn my friend!

I worked with Glenn for almost 20 years on marion co. sheriff dept., Glenn was great worker-always friendly-then after a few years Glenn moved to sheriff invest. section working fraud and money theft cases.Glenn had natural feel for being a good investigator and dug into a case working until case was solved bt arrest or working leads till no more could be done.Glenn was always smiling and telling sometimes jokes that were really funny-my years in detectives-no one could do more when you asked for help on case than Glenn-MAY YOUR FINAL ROLL CALL LEAD TO WELL DESERVED REST-YOU EARNED PEACE AT LAST-THANKS FOR BEING MY FRIEND-HENRY-STEVE RENDLEMAN RET MCSD DET.
I am so sorry to learn of your loss. My thoughts and prayers will be with you during this difficult time.
I just wanted to say that Glenn was in Bible Study Fellowship many years ago now but I remember him very well because for about two years after class was over, on Monday nights, around 8:45PM, Glenn would stand out in the middle of Meridian Street, at Second Presbyterian Church, in the rain or snow, and always at night, and freely give his time to direct our traffic so that the men could get out onto Meridian street, and we have over 400 guys attending. He was so faithful to do that and never asked for anything. What a witness he was to me then and a real servant doing God's work, I just had to mention this. I was shocked to see his obituary at 55 years old. I know that he has some good rewards in Heaven with Jesus that he is already recieving. Jack Whitaker BSF
Glenn was, quite simply, one of the nicest people you could ever hope to meet. Glenn and I were sworn in together and we had many years of experiences and fellowship together. May he rest in peace and the Good Lord be in grace and love with the family.
