Obituary of Sidnye Georgette

Sidnye D. Georgette, 58, of Avon, passed away on June 27, 2014. She was born in Portageville, MO on November 20, 1955 to the late George W. and Doris E. (Banhagel) Fisher. Sidnye was an accounting supervisor, CPA with Allison Transmission. Her previous employments were Compliance Officer and Vice President with Lincoln Bank, Bank Examiner for the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC). She was a caring and loving wife, mother and grandmother. Sidnye enjoyed her volunteer work with Sheltering Wings Domestic Violence Shelter. She was a board member for Hendricks County Habitat for Humanity, contributor and active supporter of various charity and community organizations. Sidnye was a member of St. Stephen's Lutheran Church, Plainfield, IN and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accounts (AICPA). Sidnye enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She loved to travel with her husband, Gary and together visited Europe, Canada, Bahamas and throughout the United States. Sidnye really enjoyed visiting the beaches of Florida and spending quality time there with her family. She was an avid reader, liked to needle point, solving puzzles, and relaxing in a pool. Sidnye is survived by her husband of 34 years, Mr. Gary Georgette; daughter Jessica Georgette, Jacksonville, FL; son Donald Georgette, Avon, IN; granddaughter Olivia Velazquez, Jacksonville, FL; sisters Iva Scheuer, Texas and Dorothy Moore, California; brothers George Fisher II and David Fisher, Michigan.
