Mary Jo Stancil, 77, of Indianapolis passed away May 27, 2014. She was born December 4, 1936 in Indianapolis, IN to Thomas D. and Esther (Evans) Griffin. Mary Jo worked as a clerk at the BMV. She enjoyed collecting coins, stamps and Shirley Temple dolls, listening to classical music and Elvis. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 54 years, Albert Stancil; son, Steve A. Stancil and grandson, Tyler Stancil. Mary Jo is survived by her children, Susie A. Thompson, Dennis H. Stancil, Jon A. Stancil, Mary E. Bryson and Andrew Stancil. Visitation will be held on Monday, June 2 from 4 pm - 7 pm with a funeral service at 7 pm in Stevens Mortuary, 5520 W. 10th St., Indianapolis, IN.
