Obituary of Julia McDuffee
Julia "Judy" McDuffee went home to Heaven on May 24, 2014. Judy was born in Washington, IN on January 9, 1935 the daughter of Ralph and Wilma Chandler.
Judy grew up in Washington where she met and married Joe McDuffee. They recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. Judy's gift was music. She shared her beautiful soprano voice as a soloist and served as church choir director for nearly sixty years. In addition to her love of music, Judy enjoyed reading, gardening, bird-watching, traveling and collecting antiques. Her favorite spot was their summer home in the north woods of Wisconsin.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her loving family: husband, Joe McDuffee; daughter, Kim Reedy of Indianapolis, IN; grandson, Matthew Reedy of Brownsburg, IN; sister, Brenda Lantz of Tavares, FL and many nieces, nephews and numerous cousins.
Friends and family will remember Judy in a musical service on Sunday, June 8 at 1 pm in Garden Baptist Church, 1725 S. Raceway Rd., Indpls. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions be made to Garden Baptist Church.
