Obituary of Sheila Parton
Sheila Ann Parton, 50, of Laveen, AZ formerly of Indianapolis, IN passed away April 6, 2014. She was born June 4, 1963 in Indianapolis, IN to Vernon Lee and Anna Lee Halcomb.
Sheila was a bartender for 18 years at Bud's Tavern. She loved music, dancing, writing, traveling and she loved the water. Sheila also enjoyed to budget (you could always find her with a calculator and notebook) and finding a bargain. She loved partying, having a good time with family and friends, and decorating for parties and special events. She loved sunny days, but most of all she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren, and playing rummy with them.
Sheila was preceded in death by her parents and stepmother, Judith Halcomb.
She is survived by her loving husband of 25 years, Harley Byrd Parton; daughter, Amanda Cardwell; son, Dakota Halcomb; grandsons, Donnie and Brandon Cardwell; granddaughter, Jayden Cardwell; sisters, Debora Baker, Elizabeth Hackett, Donna Dougherty, Betty Richeson and Michele Sortore; brothers, Richard and Charles Halcomb, Charlie Hahn, Bill and Carl Drennon and step-mother, Roseann Halcomb.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 10 from 4 pm - 7 pm with a funeral service at 7 pm in Stevens Mortuary, 5520 W. 10th St., Indpls.
