Stella M. Palmer, 87, of Indianapolis passed away September 11, 2013. She was born June 4, 1926 in Indianapolis, IN to Philip and Eloise Crabtree, both preceding her in death. Stella was a home health caregiver and cared for her grandchildren for many years. She was a member of the Westside Church of the Nazarene and recently attended Crosspointe Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Janice E. (Jeff) Wilson; sister, Mary Elizabeth Crabtree and brother, Phil (Lois) Crabtree. She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Raymond E. Palmer; daughter, Amy E. (Clay) Wilson; son, Jonathan (Donna) E. Palmer; grandchildren, Lark L. (Brady) Gurganious, Brook C. (Chris) Korb, Jonathan L. (Sarah) Palmer, Lake J. (Jacob) Wilson, Matthew A. (Jennifer) Wilson, Jenny L. (Brandon) Young, Zachery T. Wilson, Casey E. (Scott) Brendler and Stephanie K. Wilson; great grandchildren, Noah W. Gurganious, Miriam O. Gurganious, Ruth E. Gurganious, Jacklyn B. Korb, Gabrielle Q. Korb, Corgan W. Young and Peter N. Young. Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 15 from 4 pm - 8 pm in Stevens Mortuary, 5520 W. 10th St., Indpls. A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 16 at 10 am with an hour of visitation prior at Crosspointe Baptist Church, 220 Country Club Road, Indpls. Entombment to follow at Floral Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Gideon Bible Society.
