Wilma Jean Gorjanc, 84, of Indianapolis passed away September 8, 2013. She was born in Montgomery, IN on November 8, 1928 to Melvin L. and Hazel G. (Clements) Scott. Wilma graduated from Montgomery High School in 1946, Marion College in 1970 and received her Master's Degree in 1974 from Butler University. She was an avid reader, loved playing cards, particularly bridge, traveling and she also enjoyed aerobic swimming. She taught in Wayne Township for 23 years, retiring in 1993. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Anthony M. Gorjanc Sr., who passed away in 1966, to whom she was married to for 10 years and her brother, George "Sonny" (Margaret Calvin) Scott. She is survived by her son, Anthony M. Gorjanc; sisters, Anna Marie Grannon and Mary Jane Delong and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 11 from 4 pm - 8 pm in Stevens Mortuary, 5520 W. 10th St., Indpls. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, September 12 at 10:30 am in St. Christopher Catholic Church, 5301 W. 16th St., Speedway. Burial will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Humane Society.
