Billy G. Stokes, 84 of Indianapolis passed away on July 12, 2013. He was born in Indianapolis, IN on September 10, 1928 to the late Homer and Mary Elizabeth Jines-Stokes. Mr. Stokes owned and operated Bill Stokes Plumbing for 47 years. He was a member of Life Tabernacle and previously attended Trinity Chapel and New Life Assembly of God. Mr. Stokes is preceded in death by his parents and one grandson Larry D. Stokes II. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years Lula Carroll Stokes, daughter Karen Sommers, Sons Billy Gene Stokes Jr., Larry Stokes and Ronald Wayne Stokes, brother Jack Stokes, sisters Sue Halcomb and Joann Ratliff, grandchildren Beau Jason Stokes, Benjamin Todd Stokes, Brittany Nicole Stokes, Angela Michelle Garrett, Tamara Christine Grismore, Christina K. Furrey, Brian Clinton Bettis, John David Bettis, Bridget Sommers, Wendy Joan Dudek, Nicholas Robert Sommers, twenty-one great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild.
