Virginia L. Hinders, 85, of Indianapolis passed away February 26, 2013. She was born April 21, 1927 in Lima, OH to Gladestone and Treva (Long) Shreves, both preceding her in death. Virginia had been a member of the St. Anthony Catholic Church Parrish for 60 years and was a member of St. Christopher Catholic Church the past 6 years. She is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, David L. Hinders; daughters, June Richie and Jean Ann Tenney; son, James Hinders; 9 grandchildren, Amy McItosh, Gail Dresnek, Jasen Hinders, Jeremy Hinders, Jeana Jones, Jamie Chandler, Cassie Meyers, Courtney Tenney and Trevor Tenney; 16 great-grandchildren, Katie McIntosh, Lindsey Dresnek, Riley Dresnek, Braden Dresnek, Audrey Hinders, Anna Hinders, Lily Hinders, Drew Jones, Kelsey Jones, Tyler Wagner, RaeAnne Hinders, Kylie Hinders, Blake Chandler, Kira Chandler, Olli Ownes and Molly Meyers; 1 great-great-grandchild, Kaylee Jones; brother, William (Judy) Shreves and sister, Elsie Wilson. Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 3 from 4 pm - 7:30 pm with a rosary at 7:30 pm in Stevens Mortuary, 5520 W. 10th St., Indpls. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, March 4 at 11 am in St. Christopher Catholic Church, 5301 W. 16th St., Speedway. Burial will follow in West Ridge Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Christopher Catholic Church, 5301 W. 16th St., Speedway, IN 46224 and/or St. Anthony Catholic Church, 337 N Warman Ave., Indianapolis, IN 46222.
