Obituary of Joseph Bajt
Joseph F. (Joe, Joey) Bajt, our dear son and brother was sent to Heaven on September 23, 2012. Joe was a lifetime parishioner of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, a member of the Slovenian National Home and KSKJ. Joe loved his Indianapolis Colts, IU basketball and Notre Dame football. Anyone who knew Joe, they knew what kind of a cook he was, whether he was slaving over a hot stove or in the backyard using his skills on his grill and smoker. Joe also worked his magic when it came to his landscaping. It was always word of mouth when someone would say, "Who did your yard?" I believe Joe did all landscaping for most of the Slovenians in the neighborhood.
Joe will be terribly missed by all who knew and loved him. He volunteered at the Holy Trinity/St. Vincent DePaul food pantry. Joe was self-employed landscaper and also worked in the hospitality industry at Shula's Steakhouse, Norman's at Union Station and a few years at Economy Plumbing. He loved the outdoors, fishing, camping and boating. He LOVED life!
Joe was preceded in death by his Father Louis R. Bajt in 1998 and leaves behind his mother, Mary Bajt; sisters, Mary Lambert, Theresa (Don) Alverson and Anna (Gene) McWilliams; brother, James Bajt; 3 nephews, Jefferey Alverson, Darren (Lindsay) McWilliams and Brian (Brittany) McWilliams and one great nephew, Brian McWilliams II.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 28, 2012 from 4 pm - 7:30 pm with a rosary at 7:30 pm in Stevens Mortuary, 5520 W 10th St., Indpls. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, September 29, 2012 at 10:30 am at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 901 N. Holmes Ave., Indpls. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
