Obituary of Freda Dezelan
Freda Valeria Dezelan, 93, Indianapolis, died January 29, 2010. Freda was born December 7, 1916 to Joseph Sr.and Anna Smerdel. Freda worked for the Indianapolis Motor Speedway as a photographer many years and prior to that she worked at RCA for many years. She was a member of the KSKJ, and St. Christopher Catholic Church. Freda was married for 35 years. She loved oil painting. Her husband, Louis B. Dezelan and grandson, Jonathan Dezelan both precede her in death.
Survivors include her sons Louis A. (Susie) Dezelan and John J. Dezelan; daughters Helen A. (Mike) Wagner and Mary (Jules) Wieseman; sister Margaret Finley; brother Joseph Dezelan; grandchildren Mike and John Wagner and Kathie Hess, Anna and Louie Wieseman; great grandchildren Brandon and Sarah Wagner.
Visitation will be held on Tues. Feb. 2 from 4- 7:30pm with a rosary at 7:30pm. at Stevens Mortuary and Family Center, 5520 W. 10th St., Indpls. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Wed. Feb. 3 at 10am at Holy Trinity Catholic Church.
Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Trinity.
