Obituary of George Pieczko
George Pieczko 75, passed away after suffering a lengthy illness on October 17, 2009, surrounded by his loving family. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Mary and eight siblings. After graduating high school in 1961, George went on to serve in the Navy for four years during peacetime. He worked at Walt's Supermarket and Galyans. He retired from Eli Lilly in 1993, completing 38 years of service. George is survived by his wife of 45 years, Marian Bernard Pieczko; sons, Michael (Tori) and Joseph (Stacie); daughters, Mary (Jeff) Stumpf and Amy (Brian) Freeman; 5 grandchildren, Joseph, Stephen, Alyson, George and Benedict and many loving nieces and nephews. Donations can be made to your favorite charity, St. Christopher School or Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 21 at Stevens Mortuary & Family Center, 5520 W 10th St, Indpls, from 4 to 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, October 22 at St. Christopher Catholic Church, 16th & Lynhurst, at 10:30 a.m., with 1/2 hour of visitation before Mass in Emaus Way.
