Obituary of Barbara A. Flint

Barbara Ann Flint, 85, of Avon passed away on January 15, 2025. She was born in Dover, OH on August 13, 1939 to Fred Denton and Harriet Irene (Mowrer) Flint. Barbara worked as a Financial Aid Advisor at Lincoln Technical Institute prior to retiring. She loved crocheting, she made over 100 afghans. She also loved to craft and create anything hands on. She loved to give away and share her creations. Barbara enjoyed singing and dancing.  She was interested in herbal medicines and read extensively on the subject. She loved thrifting. She had an avid interest in Astrology. She loved tracking her family’s genealogy. She loved houseplants and bringing dead plants back to life. She had a green thumb. Above all, she loved Ohio and the beauty of the state. Barbara had a great sense of humor. She hated cooking or baking; she had a “closed” sign hung above her stove. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Harriet Flint; brothers, Ralph Edward Flint and Michael Dwayne Flint; and her sisters, Norma Jean Flint Christian and Sandra Kay Flint Christian. She is survived by her brother Fred Denton (Jeanette) Flint of Arlington, TX; daughters, Teresa Lynn Wiebe Ailey of Mansfield, OH, Kathryn Kay (Scott) Wiebe Cranfill of Clifton, TN and Sharon Sue Wiebe Turner of Indianapolis, IN; son, David James Wiebe of Debary, FL; grandsons, Aaron Stone of Mansfield, OH, Phil Turk of Indianapolis, IN,  Joshua Turk of Avon, IN and Jon (Nicole) Turk of Avon, IN; granddaughters, LaShey Malone of Indianapolis, IN and Hannah Marie Tyler of Huntington, WV; step granddaughter, Brittany (Michael) Owens of Plainfield, IN; step grandson, Justin (Lindsey) Cranfill of Clayton, IN; and 14 great grandchildren.
