Obituary of Matthew Francis Peck
Matthew F. Peck, 54, of Indianapolis, IN passed away peacefully with family by his side on January 13, 2025. Matt was born in Indianapolis on April 16, 1970, to Raymond F. and Katherine A. (Martich) Peck.
He is preceded in death by his father, Raymond. He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Francheska Peck; mother, Katherine Peck; brothers, Ray Peck and Doug Peck all of Indianapolis, IN; and sister Cindy (Peck) Doll of Columbus, OH.
Matt had many interests and hobbies. He was a local disc jockey, known to many as “DJ Matty P.” An accomplished mixer, scratcher, and master of sound effects, he performed at parties, weddings, and special events, and recorded his original mixes, sharing them with family and friends.
Matt loved sports and played little league through high school. He was responsible for Northwest High School’s 1986 City Golf Championship. He was a FANatic of the Atlanta Falcons, proudly wearing and displaying all his Falcon swag. He played fantasy football in the same league for over 30 years and won back-to-back Fantasy Super Bowls in 2023 and 2024.
Matt was a kind and loving individual, always going out of his way to help others. He always displayed a warm smile and positive attitude. He was the type of person who made everyone laugh. He cared deeply for his pets and other animals and took in and helped many strays and abandoned pets.
Matt was a hard worker. His work ethic started in high school, and he often worked multiple jobs at the same time. He finished his career working for Aztec Corporation for more than 20 years.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions in Matt’s memory be made to IndyHumane Society, 7929 N Michigan Rd, Indianapolis, IN 46268, or to a charity of your choice.
Funeral services and Matt’s life will be celebrated at 1:00 PM on Friday, January 17, 2025, at Stevens Mortuary, 5520 W. 10th Street, Indianapolis, IN 46224. The family will receive friends with a visitation from 11 AM until the time of services.
