Obituary of Sharon Lee Stephanoff
Sharon Stephanoff, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away on October 4th, 2024 in her hometown of Indianapolis. Born on March 18th, 1941 to loving parents Philip and Ruby Rayner,who instilled in her a deep sense of family values and compassion for others. Sharon's life was defined by her unwavering love for her family and the joy she found in nurturing three generations.
On March 4, 1962, Sharon married the love of her life George Stephanoff and together they built a beautiful life filled with love and laughter. Their union was blessed with three children: Lisa Crooks(Charles),KathleenPierce(Robert),and Michael Stephanoff(Amber).As a mother, Sharon poured all of herself into raising her children with kindness and wisdom that would shape their lives forever.
Her legacy extended beyond just being an exceptional mother as she became a doting grandmother to Nick Strode, Tiffany Pierce, Nathan Garrett, Amy Pierce ,Noah and Alena Stephanoff,Ashley Walters,Nick Walters,Alyssa Woodruff,Bailey and Haiden Watkins,then later becoming a cherished great-grandmother to Laila Garrett , Isabella Strode , Bowen Garrett and Lilyana Walters.She adored each one of them unconditionally and took immense pride in watching them grow into remarkable individuals.
Sharon's warm heart knew no bounds as she opened up her home to friends old & new alike. Her genuine nature made everyone feel welcome - always ready with open arms and ears willing to listen without judgment or reservation.
One could often find Sharon basking poolside under the sun or enjoying tranquil moments by the lake - these were simple pleasures that brought the most joy into her life.
The impact left by Sharon is immeasurable; she leaves behind memories that will be cherished eternally by those lives she touched so deeply.
She will be remembered not only for the endless love she gave but also for embodying strength through adversity while maintaining grace throughout every challenge faced.
Sharon's passing has left an indelible void within our hearts but we take solace knowing that she now rests peacefully among angels above.
May we honor Sharon's memory by carrying forward the values which meant so much to her: unconditional love towards all living beings & cherishing every moment spent with loved ones. Rest In Peace dear Sharon- your spirit shall live on through us forevermore!
