OYESINA OLAWALE! MY DEAREST BROTHER WHOM I LOVE FROM OUR CHILDHOOD. I HAD A SPECIAL NAME FOR YOU.'UNA'...BECAUSE I COULDN'T PRONOUNCE 'SINA' VERY WELL. I AM PAINED TO THE MARROW. MY CHILDHOOD DAYS WERE FILLED WITH MEMORIES OF YOU. THOSE TIMES YOU WOULD BE AROUND FROM SCHOOL AND YOU WOULD COME TO ANFANI WITH MY OTHER COUSINS, ARE MEMORABLE MOMENTS OF MY LIFE. HOLIDAYING AT YOUR PLACE AT OWODE THEN WAS ALWAYS A DELIGHT. YOU LOVED MY CHILDREN AS IF THEY ARE YOUR OWN. OH DEAR LORD, MY TEARS RUN FREELY. OH, DEATH WHERE YOUR STING IS! WE TAKE SOLACE IN GOD THAT ONE DAY WE SHALL ALL SEE AGAIN. YOU HAVE LEFT A BIG VACUUM THAT WILL TAKE A LONG TIME TO FILL, IF EVER. MAY YOUR BEAUTIFUL SOULS FIND ETERNAL BLISS. TO BAD WE DIDN'T SEE ONE MORE TIME BEFORE YOU BOWED OUT. YOUR INFECTIOUS LAUGHTER KEEPS RINGING IN MY EARS. ADIEU MY BELOVED -------------------- Peju Davis
I LOST A GEM, MY FIRST COUSIN, SINA OLAWALE.
The news of his departure came on Friday afternoon 16th August 2024 via a call from his loving wife, Sherifat. About 40 min before the unpleasant news, we still had faith that the Lord would do wonders. Through the video call, I saw my brother on the hospital bed, very weak, couldn't respond to anything, his wife was there beside him helpless. The only thing I could say was that only God can heal my brother. But God allowed Sinaayomi to go. Who are we to query His decision? In all things, we must thank the Lord, so the Bible says.
Sinaayomi, you fought a battle, a serious one indeed. You have gone to rest. Two days earlier from your demise, I lost my loving brother, your younger brother, Pastor Peter Fatoki. I am seriously pained, devastated, and troubled. The two of you were very important in my life. I am always happy having the two of you as brothers, now, the cold hands of death have taken you away. I have never been as troubled and weak as this, even when I lost my Mum and Dad. This is too much of a blow on me. No doubt, the sickness of the two of you had prepared our minds, but we were hoping for a better miracle from the Lord, now the worst has happened. May the Lord grant your souls eternal rest IJMN.
--------------- Hon. Johnson Olu Fatoki.
Uncle Shina, your passing has left us heartbroken, but we find solace in the incredible life you lived. You were the definition of resilience and optimism, facing life's toughest challenges head-on, without any backing, yet never losing your smile. You survived every ordeal with a strength that inspired us all, proving time and again that you were a true fighter. Your spirit was unbreakable, and your legacy of courage and hope will live on in our hearts forever. Your intentions for our family were always good, filled with love and hope, but sadly, death took you too soon. Rest in peace, dear Uncle; you will be deeply missed. ------------------------------- Evans Opeyemi Aina.

TRIBUTE TO MY UNCLE
Dear BOA,
It’s hard to say goodbye. You were and will forever be one of the best Uncle I’ve ever had. You were so good to the family.
You loved me and my siblings as your children, loved my mum as your sister, and you cared for my dad like a brother should. For this, I will forever appreciate you.
You were so strong, courageous, selfless, and passionate. You were the definition of 'Love' itself.
My Uncle, all you ever cared about was the happiness of your loved ones and those around you. I am very glad to be your daughter and to have had a sweet man like you as my big daddy.
I know that you are resting in peace and right next to God right now.
Rest well Uncle, I love you. -------------------------------------- Your Niece, Olutoye Fatoki
TRIBUTE TO MY UNCLE, BOA!
I find it hard to put into words the depth of the loss I feel with the passing of my dear uncle.
You were more than just family, you were a guiding light, a pillar of strength, and a source of endless love and wisdom.
Your laughter could fill a room, and your kindness knew no bounds. You had a way of making everyone feel special, of finding joy in the simple things, and of bringing our family together in love and unity.
Your legacy is one of generosity, compassion, and unwavering integrity. You taught me the importance of hard work, the value of honesty, and the power of love. Though you may no longer be with us in person, your spirit lives on in the countless lives you touched.
Uncle, your memory will forever be etched in our hearts. You have left behind a legacy that will endure, and we will continue to honor you by living the values you so beautifully embodied. We love you, we miss you, and we will carry you with us always. Rest in peace dear uncle ---------------------------------------- Your son, Oluniyi Fatoki
A TRIBUTE TO MY UNCLE… MY FATHER!
BOA!
To know you was to know love, strength, and generosity. You were not just my uncle; you were like a father to me.
You guided me, gave me responsibilities that shaped me into the man I am today, and showered me with gifts that went beyond material things—they were lessons in kindness and compassion.
You had a unique ability to bring joy to my family, our family. Your presence made our loved one's smile, and you took it upon yourself to care for everyone around you. Your heart was as big as the love you gave, always putting others before yourself.
BOA! You are a soldier! you fought with courage and determination right until the very end. It is indeed an honor to have known you, and to be associated with you.
Though your absence leaves a deep void, I find solace in knowing you are finally at peace. Your legacy lives on in the lives you touched, the smiles you created, and the love you gave so freely.
I am proud to have been a part of your life and to carry your memory with me always.
Till we meet to part no more. ----------------------------------------------- Your son, Ayomide Fatoki
Tribute to Uncle Shinaayomi (My Rival)
I fondly called you Uncle Shinaayomi, "My Rival", because of the special bond we shared. You were a loving and caring man who always enjoyed the company of young people.
I cherish the memories of our time together at UNAD, where you:
- Served as a mediator during our political ambition contention
- Settled the rifts between us
- Showed me love and care, making me one of the "cute big boys" in school
- Gave me thoughtful gifts
Your love and care extended to your wife, Sherifat, and I was a beneficiary of that love on several occasions. You often asked when I would visit you in the USA, and I always dreamed of hanging out with you again.
Though your passing is painful, we must appreciate the time we had with you. May God filled the vacuum you left behind, and may we learn to appreciate the time we have, for we all have an appointed time to return and give account of our stewardship on earth to our marker.
Let's remember, life without Christ is vain,
Eternity awaits, beyond this earthly reign.
Death comes unannounced, without a scheduled time,
Prepare now, for the eternal rhyme.
Rest in peace, Uncle Shinaayomi, My Rival. Sleep on.
Pastor Dr. Olusola B ADENIYI
My Dear Brother, Shinaayomi,
"Arekese," as you fondly called me, echoes in my heart now more than ever. You were truly a rare gem, Boda Shina. The way you loved Sheri back in our Ado days—those unforgettable moments in 2006—was beyond words. The depth of your love was something extraordinary, something we all marveled at. Even after all these years, I’m still in awe of the incredible things you did for her, and for all of us who had the privilege to be in your circle.
You didn’t just love one person; you spread that same warmth to everyone around Sheri, making us all feel seen and valued. I still carry with me the advice you gave me in 2007, urging me not to get swept away by the world around me but to nurture what truly matters. Today, I am happily married to the love of my life, thanks in part to your wisdom.
I will miss your jokes, your voice calling my name, and the guidance you so generously offered. Why did you have to leave now? But until we meet again, my beloved Shina Ayomi, may you rest in perfect pe
ace.

Oyeshina Olawale; Tribute to a friend and brother. Shina is my childhood friend since 1980, we went to the same secondary school, and he’s been acting like my big brother since we met and he’s constant in my life till his last breath. He always looks out for others even when it’s not convenient for him. He was a very nice, humble, sociable and supportive person. He struggled to complete his mission on earth, and he has gone to his maker to rest. I believe he has transitioned to an angel looking down on us and he will continue to protect his family and loved ones. I pray that the Lord assign him to a special place in heaven and bless his family. Rest in peace Willie Tinkle, RIP Shina Washington, Shinene. May the Almighty accept your soul Oyeshina Shinayomi Olawale.

I am more than privileged to even say I know him. He would do just anything to make sure his family is okay. I may not be family by blood, but Uncle Shina has been more than blood. Where I am today, I owe God and him the gratitude. I remember my early visits to his home back in Ado, where I would spend weeks with him and the family , till the very recent memories where he would be so early to pick us up at the airport and take us to everywhere we wanted including his favorite Amala spot which is now my favorite spot. Uncle, you will forever live in my heart. Your family will continue to be my family, and your people will continue to be my people. You have done well, you ran your race well until the end, I am the evidence. Rest in the perfect peace of the Almighty, until we meet to part no more !
As we remember my uncle today, let us celebrate the values he instilled in us. Let us carry forward his legacy of kindness, joy, and resilience. Each of us has been blessed to have known him, and we must honor his memory by living our lives fully and generously, just as he did.
Thank you, Uncle Shina , for everything you taught us and the love you shared so freely. You may no longer walk among us, but your spirit lives on in our hearts. We will carry your light with us, always.
Rest in peace, dear uncle. You are deeply missed, but forever loved.
Shina, so this is real? I kept denying! You called me last year and insisted that I come over. I did. Despite your pain, you still put up your usual display of love and care. You insisted against my wish and made my family's coming into this country a reality. Gbolahan, Papa-J and Oyinkonsola will never forget you. Thanks Shina. Your memory will live with me forever. Good night my friend and brother.
Olufemi Folademi.
