Obituary of Louisa Horton

Louisa Horton was born in Colorado Springs CO on 01/06/1957. She is preceded in death by her mother Betty Daniels (Ditchburn); father Robert E. Heath; sisters Patricia, Bonnie Shea and Marianne Pettit; husband Jeffrey A. Horton; daughter Tami Jo Roseberry. Louisa is survived by her children Christy Moore (Rice/Darringer), Jesseca Carter (Horton) and Robert Darringer; grandchildren Brandon Dempsey, Abigail Burton (Moore) and Julie Carter; great grandson Theodore Burton. She is also survived by a true angel on earth and our sister from another mother Ashley Wilson. Ashley stepped up and took over the entire care of our mom when we couldn’t do it. She was our mom’s ride or die best friend and daughter.

Her three children loved their mom, and she loved them too. Trevor, Tanner and Tessa will miss their bonus grandma and her love. She was an animal lover. Her dogs Buffy and Izzy were her whole world and before them it was Squeaker and Max and she also brought home way too many stray cats a time or two. Hummingbirds always visited her many feeders. She loved the Colorado mountains and being in them. Nature was her favorite part of this world. Her garden was always flourishing with beautiful flowers of so many types. She had an eclectic taste for music and always blared it when she was busy in the house or doing yard work. She finally got to see the ocean and spend days on white sand beaches when she went on a Caribbean Cruise in her mid-fifties, and it was one of her all-time favorite memories.

Louisa was a dedicated and hardworking Staff Manager/Server at Steak N Shake on 38th street In Indianapolis for more than 20 years. She was an accounting specialist at Indy Screen Printing for several years and an administrative assistant for Wayne Dalton in Colorado Springs for many years. She excelled in every one of those positions, she believed in doing things the right way. She was a one-of-a-kind mom with a great sense of humor and a good friend. She will be missed but only until we all meet again.
