Obituary of Marge Juanita Barnes

Marge Juanita Barnes (Age 79) of Indianapolis, IN passed away Sunday, August 11 th , 2024 to heart failure after a long and fulfilling life. Marge was born on August 30 th , 1944 to Willard and Ollie Collins in Littcarr, Kentucky. After graduating high school in 1962, she went on to enlist in the United States Army. This is where she met the man she would marry, James Ronald Barnes, Sr. 

During their 42 years of marriage, they had three (3) children: James R Jr., Juanita and Terry. They spent lots of weekends and holidays camping and fishing as a family. Marge enjoyed sewing, cooking and gardening. Once her children became fulltime students, she began her cafeteria cook/Managerial  career. In recent years she enjoyed reading her bible and spending time with her grandchildren. Marge was preceded in death by her parents Willard and Ollie, her husband James Sr. her two (2) sons James Jr. and Terry Wayne, her brother Russell and her two (2) sisters JoEllen and Rutheen. 

Marge is survived by her daughter Juanita (Nina), her grandchildren Bradley, Michael, Morgan, Christopher, Deante, Jania, Brayden, Jaylen and Janessa, her great grandchild Kingston, her daughter-in-law Shanita, her brother Ronnie Collins and several nieces and nephews.
