Obituary of Betty Tresslar
Betty Sue (Miller) Tresslar, 87, passed away on May 18, 2024. She was the widow of Reverand William L. Tresslar and the mother of her two best friends Shannon (Terry) Dodson and Karen (Mark) Wolf.
Sue lived her whole life in central Indiana, following her husband to various towns as he was appointed by the United Methodist Church. She contributed her time and her heart to choirs, women’s groups, Sunday Schools and a myriad of other ministries. And in retirement she realized her dream of owning their own lake home, no longer in a parsonage. Her days were filled with bird and squirrel watching and tending her flower gardens.
Sue was humble, unassuming, thoughtful, tough, gracious, giving and funny. Some might say she had a small life but it was full of BIG LOVE both given and received. She was a blessing that will not be replaced but will be remembered and appreciated with a smile on the faces of those who knew her. That’s especially true of her beloved grandchildren: Zachary (Lauren) Dodson, Samantha Pattison, Nicholas (Lauren) Dodson and Kelly (Curtis) Johnson. She will be lovingly reminisced about to her “preciously perfect” great-grandchildren: Aubrey Dodson, Nolan Dodson, Sophie Johnson, Alexander John (AJ) Dodson and Wyatt Dodson.
