Obituary of Marvin Dewayne Talley
Marvin DeWayne Talley, 56, of Indianapolis passed away on April 7, 2024. He was born in Peoria, IL to Mack Davis and Dorothy Talley on October 15, 1967.
Marvin was a member of New Life Worship Center, and he served on the baptismal ministry. He was a very inspirational, motivational mentor to young men, women, and youth. He loved the Lord and the world of God. Marvin enjoyed sharing his wisdom and knowledge of God’s word with others always while encouraging and uplifting anyone he could. Marvin enjoyed all genres of music. He loved cooking and this was his love language for everyone. Marvin was a great husband, father, pawpaw, brother, uncle, and friend. He was adored by many.
Marvin was preceded in death by his mother Dorothy Talley; stepfather Willie James Wade; brother Melvin Talley; grandmother Ruby Mae Grant; grandparents Mary and Nevester Channey; and uncle Ellis Swanson.
Marvin is survived by his wife Jacqueline McCrory Talley; daughter Keonna Romain; sons Marvin (Taylor) Talley and Montrell Talley; sisters Michelle Talley, Yvetta King, Malinda Caldwell, and Raynell Dillard; brothers Brandon Draine, Kevin King, Justin Drain and Timothy Caldwell; stepchildren Kamerion Scott, Kabrya Scott, Andreia Scott, Aniia Scott, and Andre Scott; sisters-in-law Tyechia Beasley and Gina McCrory; brother-in-law Curtis Woods, nephews Melvin Talley, Montelle Talley, Marquise Talley, Melvin Lewis and Marques Lewis; nieces Meshai Talley, Chinesia King, and McKenzie Caldwell; “Special Pops” Oscar L. Henning; special aunt Arelene Swanson; special friends Sonia Risby Wilson, Angie Johnson and Ginger Jenkins; and a host of nieces and nephews family and friends.
