Christopher Adam Roach, 52, of Calvert City, Ky., and formerly of Mexico, Indiana, passed away unexpectedly July 10, 2016, in Benton, Ky. Born March 6, 1964, he was the son of Marion Roach. Chris attended Mexico Elementary and North Miami Elementary schools. He graduated from North Miami High School in 1982. He also studied broadcasting at Bryman School. Chris never knew a stranger and although he often had his own struggles, continued to be there for others he saw as less fortunate as himself. Known for his quick wit and easy smile, Chris reconnected with several of his classmates and friends through Facebook and kept in touch electronically as well as personally with several as he made a motorcycle trek throughout the nation a couple years ago. While living in Calvert City, Ky., Chris attended Pathway Baptist Church, where he made friends and offered his assistance to others. He is survived by many friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Marion, and his grandparents, Lewis J. Roach and Hertha K. Roach. A graveside service celebrating and remembering the life of Christopher Adam Roach will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 23, 2016, at Greenlawn Cemetery in Mexico, Indiana. Pastor Eric Alwine will officiate. There will be a gathering of friends and former classmates following the service.
