Obituary of Lovina F. "Nina" Bougher
Lovina 'Nina' F. Bougher, 81, of Indianapolis, IN passed away on August 11, 2016. Lovina was born in Wakeeney, Kansas on May 19, 1935 to Harold W. and Verna R. Neptune. Nina worked as a waitress for over forty years; first at Stouffer's in Cleveland, OH, then The Hanford House in Richland, WA. She worked at Red Lobster in Columbus, OH and Indianapolis, IN for twenty five years until retiring in 2010. Lovina was very active in the PTA when her boys were in school. She was a founding member of Fort Benjamins Blossoms Garden Club in Indianapolis. She volunteered to teach Adult Literacy in various programs wherever she lived. Her love of music included being a member of MotherSingers in Garfield Heights, OH and playing the piano.
Lovina is preceded in death by her parents and first husband, Raymond A. Miles; second husband, Harry M. Newman. She is survived by her sons, David A. (Geralyn) Miles, Scott C. (Sheila) Miles; sisters, Loretta Brown, Laurel Surplus, Phillis Steiben; brother, Dean (Tammy) Neptune; grandsons, Shawn (Kristen) Miles, Chad (Amber) Miles, Ryan (Amira) Miles and Nicolas McCowin.
In lieu of flowers the family kindly asks that donations be made to the Arbor Day Foundation.
