Obituary
Obituary of Comfort Famakinwa
~~Comfort Kofoworola Idowu Famakinwa (nee Williams) was born to the family of Pa James and Esther Williams on 9th August, 1958 at Benin City because her father worked with Electiricity Corporation of Nigeria (ECN) and was posted to Benin City. She was a graceful child while growing up and she attended her primary school in Lagos at Ebutte Meta. She then proceeded to Isabatudeen Girls Grammar School in Ibadan.
She went to School for Secretarial studies where she obtained a certificate in Secretarial Studies. Then she got a job in the school of the Deaf where she teaches deaf children. After that she got a job at the Corporative Bank as a Secretary. She decided to further her education by becoming an Associate member of Chartered Institute of Bankers Nigeria and started rising through the ranks of the bank. She courageously registered for Undergraduate studies at Olabisi Onabanjo University where she obtained Second class Upper division in Business Administration. She proceeded to do a Masters in Business Administration at Ladoke Akintola University. After these academic feats, she became a branch manager of the bank in Ibadan, Nigeria. When the bank merged to form Skye Bank, she also rose through the ranks and she retired in 2008 as Principal Regional Manager (Southwest Region). After her retirement, she was running a business before her passing on to glory.
She got married to Prince Richard Eniola Famakinwa and they were blessed with four children. Her husband went to meet the Lord in 2010.
She is a fervent Christian, who became born again in 1996, when she joined the Winners Chapel. She is a very practical Christian as she will attend any program that is slated in the church not minding whether she had a busy day at work. She has a great passion for Christ which was evident in her life towards her children, neighbors and friends. She is a very generous person to Pastors (any denomination) as long as she knows about the need, she goes all out to ensure the work of the Lord is done.
Her love for her children made her to sacrifice all the worldly assets woman gather to ensure they are successful and she is highly passionate about their welfare.
She had a brief illness earlier this year which led to her passing away in glory on the 2th July, 2017.
She will be fondly remembered by her siblings, children, daughter-in-laws, in-laws, grandchildren for her impact on them.
Kofoworola words cannot fully explain how you have impacted souls while you were here, those that encountered you will forever be grateful for having related with you.
A star has gone to rest with the Lord.
Rest in peace.
