Obituary of Collesta Marie Taylor-Hosinski
~~ Celebration of Life for Collesta Marie Bolden Taylor-Hosinski
Collesta Marie Bolden Taylor-Hosinski passed peacefully on July 31, 2017 at the age
of 66 in Indianapolis, IN. She was born March 16, 1951 in Indianapolis to Judge
Clarence D. Bolden and Mildred J. Beamon Bolden. Affectionately nicknamed
Sissie,she was the first born girl and one of 4 siblings.
Collesta leaves behind husband Paul Hosinski and children, Coleone Taylor Davis
(Corey), Leonard Taylor Jr., Lawrence Taylor (Corissa), Lloyd Taylor (Carina), and
stepchildren Amy Hosinski and Benjamin Hosinski. She also leaves behind
grandchildren, Brie Wise, Dallas Taylor, Clark Davis, Jalen Taylor, Carter Davis,
Malachi Taylor, Londyn Taylor, and Laura Taylor. In addition, Collesta is survived by
brothers Maxie Bolden Sr. (Jean), Clarence Bolden Jr. (Priscilla), Clyde Bolden
(Kimberly), and only sister Colleen Bolden Smith (Ric).
Collesta led an active life. She graduated from Shortridge High School and attended
college at Indiana State University. After college she married Leonard Taylor Sr. She
completed her undergraduate education at Marian College receiving BA in Theology.
Collesta loved religious studies and was an avid reader and philosopher on religious
doctrines. Collesta attended Witherspoon Presbyterian Church, St. Joan of Arc
Catholic Church, St. Monica Catholic Church, and Walk in the Light Christian Church
throughout her years.
As a dutiful wife and stay at home mother, she was heavily involved in the lives of
her children. A few of these activities included Greenbrier Elementary School PTA,
Campfire Girls, and Girl Scouts. She was a skilled seamstress who also loved to knit
and crochet. Collesta loved music and she instilled that love into her children by
introducing them to cultural arts and musical instruments.
Throughout her working years, Collesta held several positions which included
employment at as a realtor at Booth Realty, a substitute teacher for the Catholic
Archdiocese, and other various townships. As a volunteer member of the Alpha
Home Ladies Auxiliary, she donated her time and talent in support of the
organizations community service activities. She was employed with H&R Block for
15 years as a tax manager. For more than 10 years, she was employed with McGraw
Hill Education Services. Most recently and until the time of her passing, she worked
for Educational Testing Services as a team leader and test evaluator.
During her employment at McGraw Hill, Collesta met and formed a loving
relationship with Paul Hosinski. In January of 2009, the couple married. Paul and
Collesta enjoyed working together in the same industry, traveling, and worshiping
together.
Services will be held at Serenity Funeral Home, 6202 N Michigan Road, Indianapolis
on Friday, August 11, 2017. The viewing will commence at 11 am and the service
will follow at 2 pm. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Collestas life. The
family would like to thank everyone for their kind words and gestures. In lieu of
flowers, donations may be sent to Walk in the Light Christian Church, 25 W 9th Street, Indianapolis, IN 46204.
