Obituary of Barbara Yerich Higdon
Barbara A. Yerich Higdon 61, St. Petersburg, Florida, passed away Thursday, October 1, 2009 at home. She was born in Indianapolis on May 26, 1948 to Bronko and Bessie (Coleman) Yerich who survive. Mrs. Higdon lived in St. Petersburg for the past 13 years after having resided in Brownsburg for 40 years. She was a 1966 graduate of Brownsburg High School. Besides her parents, Mrs. Higdon is survived by her children, Jeff Higdon of Atlanta, Georgia and Lesley (Bob) Woods of Hamilton, Ohio. Other survivors include a granddaughter, Madelyne Woods; sisters, Donna (Dwight) Barger and Linda (Kevin) Rollings, both of Brownsburg; brother, Jim Yerich of Elgin, Texas; special son and daughter, Todd Falconbury and Tricia (Furey) Poindexter; and 6 nieces and nephews. These are only a few of the people who will sadly miss her kindness, warmth and her wonderful sense of humor. Services will be held at Stevens Mortuary & Family Center, 5520 W 10th St, Indpls, on Friday, October 9, 2009 at 10:30 am. Visitation will be there from 4-8 pm on Thursday, October 8. Memorial contributions may be made to the Indiana Chapter of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, 941 E 86th St, Suite 100, Indpls, IN 46240 or to St. Nicholas Serbian Orthodox Church, 7855 Marsh Rd, Indpls, IN 46278-1626.
