Obituary of George Wesley McCoy
Mr. George Wesley McCoy was born June 22, 1953 Lafayette, Alabama to Willie McCoy and Ella AsberryMcCoy. He was the youngest of nine children, four of whom preceded him in death. He was alsopreceded in death by his parents. George received his primary and secondary education in the local schools of Alabama. He later moved in 1972 to Indianapolis, Indiana he attended Shortridge High School. At a very early age he accepted Christ at Macedonia Baptist Church in LaFayette, Alabama. Upon moving to Indianapolis Indiana in 1972 he united his membership with College Avenue Baptist Church Family. George was employed at Chrysler Automotive for several years. He later worked in the construction field for several years. George was very Family oriented, fun loving, told funny jokes and very easy going. He loved sports and was a huge Colts fan. George Wesley McCoy departed this life on Friday, October 06, 2017 at 4:00am. He leaves to cherish his memory Two (2) daughters; Bridgette McCoy and Sasha Jefferson, Three (5) Grandchildren; Tamia, Kejaun and Kemoni, Two (2) Brothers; Earl McCoy (Americus) and Jimmy McCoy (Mae Thelma), Two (2) Sisters; Nettye Anderson and Annie Walker, A host of nieces, and nephews, cousins and friends.
