Obituary of Richard Douglas Hodges
Richard Douglas Hodges passed away May 3, 2018. He was born in Frankfort, Kentucky on November 1, 1957 to Julius Leyon and Mary Elizabeth (Rextroat) Gibboney. Richard was a retired commercial Class A CDL Truck Driver. He proudly and honorably served in the United States Army Company O commencing training on June 18, 1976 and completed on August 5, 1976. He was honorably discharged on October 31, 1981 after serving 5 years. Richard enjoyed fishing, camping, horseshoes, landscaping, but especially spending time with his grandkids and family. Richard is preceded in death by his parents; his loving and devoted wife of 37 years, Laura Rose Hodges; brothers, Terroid Hodges and David Hodges. He is survived by his daughters, Samantha Richwine and Sarah Hodges; step-daughter, Rachel Majors; step-parents, Lana Hodges and Murray Gibboney; sisters, Diana Garcia Mary (Penny) Davis, Sheila Davis, Sandra Dickerson and Aliecia Sears; step-brother, Wally Evans; step-sister, Merileca Gregoire; six grandchildren and 12 nieces and nephews
