Obituary of Robert Cosby
Robert Ellis Cosby, son of Myrtle Brooks Bey and stepson to Vern C. Bey was born January 19, 1953 in Indianapolis, Indiana. He attended Indianapolis Public Schools and graduated from George Washington High School in 1972. He served in the US Navy from 1977 to 1982 and worked for Pepsi Co. for 17 years.
Robert Cosby attended Agape Apostolic Church. He enjoyed jazz music and movies. He was a loving son, quiet spoken and reserved.
Robert E. Cosby departed on Monday, July 8, 2019. He was blessed to live 66 years 7 months and 8 days. He leaves to mourn his wife, Pamela Kay Cosby of Indianapolis; son, Isaac Cosby of Indianapolis; brother, Ronald E. Cosbey of Indianapolis; nephews, Michael Cosby, Christopher Cosby, and Teelo Cosby all of Indianapolis; In-laws, The McFarland family; and his High School friends, Rev. Ronald Covington of Indianapolis, Steve Officer of Indianapolis, Steve Westbrook and Sam Kent. He was preceded in death by his mother, Myrtle Brooks Bey; stepfather, Vern C. Bey; sisters, Joyce Elaine Cosbey and Gloria Jean Cosbey.
